Yes, I know I have done a terrible job with posting freebies. A few of you have inquired about me and you have no idea how much I appreciate that. I have been working on dealing with some family issues as well as doing lots of scrapping. I am also working on a new wordpress blog where I can post my personal layouts as well as any freebies that I create. It’s hard to find a good balance with life and posting to the blog. I can’t promise that I will be back posting freebies regularly but I do have a freebie for you today as well as some news.

I am here today to tell you that I have joined Designer Survivor. If you have heard of it you may know that there are perks to following along. By perks I mean there are lots of freebies available. I will make sure to post links to where you can find my freebies along with freebies from any teams I am on. Along the way I may post some bonus freebies but in return I may ask you to vote for some of the challenges. We’ll get to that when the time comes.

How many of you do Swagbucks???

Some of you may have found the Swagbucks swidget I have posted on the very bottom of this page. I don’t have it there just for advertising. I really have it there as a quick place for me to find Swagcodes although I wouldn’t mind getting Swagbuck referrals from my swidget. LOL!

Since I have the swidget up I thought now might be a good time to share with you exactly what Swagbucks are for. I know you all like FREEBIES and Swagbucks is a way to get some great freebies just by searching the web. Swagbucks is an online portal where you can earn digital dollars called Swagbucks. The Swagbucks can be redeemed for Swagbucks merchandise including free gift cards for places like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Target and many other places. If you are patient enough and do lots of searches you could even earn enough to “buy” big ticket items like an iPod, digital cameras and much more.

As you can see, I only have 89 Swagbucks right now but that’s because I was bored and entered a bunch of swagstakes. I haven’t been a member for very long but for the very little searching I have done I have earned enough for an Amazon gift card. I apologize for pretty much disappearing. I need to say thank you to everyone for the well wishes and for those of you wondering when I would be back.

To answer some questions:
1. No, I didn’t get burned out.
2. Yes, I missed you.
3. Yes, I will still be around.

If you sent me a request to add your freebies, I have been reading my emails and comments but haven’t had much chance to respond. If you don’t see a personal email from me do not be alarmed. I will be adding any blogs that I have gotten in the requests.

I have been extremely busy. It’s very strange because usually at this time of year I am able to loaf around and not do much of anything. Well, this year it seems that because our weather has been warmer than usual, there is always something to do. I have been taking advantage of this and trying to get in some good quality time with the kids. We have been to many parks, went on many walks, taken a few day trips, and all around enjoyed time with each other.

In any case, I am back and will try to post more often. For now I can’t promise how often the freebies will be posted but there will be some up soon.

A special freebie from me

Yes, you read that right. I figured it was about time that I share some of my designs with you. If you didn’t already find it, I have another blog: Digi Dandy Designs but it hasn’t been updated in a long while. I design freebies and I had been selling in a few stores. I have decided to step away from selling my designs and concentrate more time for what I love. I miss the opportunity to do my own scrap pages and only enjoy designing when inspiration hits. So, if you want to see some of my past freebies head on over to my other blog and you can find some. And, today inspiration hit so I thought I would share a mini kit I created.

As I said before, I am taking part in ADSR5. This weeks challenge calls for chocolate in our layout. I had nothing in my stash so I decided to create a chocolate bar and that inspired this little mini kit.

Sunday’s Freebies

Wow! What a weekend! I have been busier than normal this last few weeks. For one, I am taking part in the ADSR5 and having a really good time. If you don’t know what ADSR is go read up on it at the NDISB site. It comes around once a year. It would be too late for you to officially participate but you are welcome to follow the challenges. Keep an eye out for it next year. It’s a great way to push your scrapping limits. Besides ADSR, I have been having some great times with my family and friends. It’s definitely much busier than a normal February for me but I am certainly not complaining.

I wanted to add a brief response to a few comments on the blog. One, was a very kind person pointing out that it doesn’t appear that I am cutting back on the freebies I am posting. I am being a little more choosy with what I am posting and I am trying to not stress about getting a post up every day. I am posting what I can and when I can. It’s much easier for me to keep it going if I am not feeling stressed about it. With that said, you’ll notice a lot of freebies today. That is because I am including freebies from both yesterday and today. If I am not too far behind I will always try to include any back freebies that I missed. It all about how much time I have and I have now learned to set a limit for myself. I really enjoy the hunting and I have found many freebies for myself along they way so I might as well share what I can.

You’ll also notice that the links should now all open in a new window. I wanted to set it up this way from the start but up until today I couldn’t find how to do it. Another kind reader made the suggestion and I now found how to do it. With the new window for each link you don’t have to keep going to back to return to this blog and find more freebies. So, ask and you shall receive. Thanks for the suggestion. I hope everyone likes this little change.

First, I need to say thank you to those of you who have left me comments and sent me emails of concern. It really is appreciated knowing that there are many caring people out there reading this blog. Next, I have to admit that this was a bigger undertaking than I had ever expected. In a matter of a month I went from having 300 blogs I followed to having almost 2,000. It’s a lot of work handpicking freebies from all of them. There are so many great choices and I didn’t want to miss any. I have come to realize that I might miss a few good ones but that is better than leaving you with none. There are other freebie sites that catch almost all of the freebies on a daily basis so I will be more selective with my choices.

With all of that said, I am starting fresh. There were lots of great freebies this last week but rather than try to play catch up, I am going to start freebies from the last day. This past week has been really busy for me and I have struggles with some issues at home but all of that appears to be better right now. I am back now to start off the week with some great freebies. I hope you love my selection.
